Collaborative News Mining with Aigents

With latest update of Aigents Online Demo, we introduce more control over process of sharing news mined by your personal agent and personal agents of your friends that you have connected with Aigents.

Aigents news feed with news items mined by your personal agent and agents owned by your friends, with personal and social relevances evaluated for every news item

We know generic capability of Aigents to evaluate relevance of news items for you probabilistically, based on experiential learning by means of your feedback, and feedback provided by your friends. The relevance inferred on basis of experience learned from you called personal relevance, and the relevance based on experience learned from your friends called social relevance. The following video describes this in greater details.

What we introduce now is fine-grained control over this process, so you are given two checkboxes in the Friends view of the Aigents Online Demo, as follows.

Left checkbox (trust) — means that for given period of time you trust the particular one of your friends to receive news, discovered by their own personal aigents, in case if this person share their news with you explicitly, having respective checkbox (share) checked at your name in respective Friends view of their own.

Right checkbox (share) — means that for given period of time you share all news, found by your personal aigent, to this particular one of your friends, given respective checkbox (trust) checked at your name in respective Friends view of their own.

It seems clear that the two options are symmetric and mutual and there could be four possible relationships between you and your friend from your perspective, as follows.

• You: receive/trust, share — you are receiving news from your friend (if friend shares) and your are sharing your news back (if friend trusts)
• You: receive/trust, don’t share — you are receiving news from your friend (if friend shares) but your are not sharing news back (even if friend trusts to you)
• You: don’t receive/trust, share — you are not receiving news from your friend (even if friend shares them with you) but your are sharing your news yourself (if friend trusts)
• You: don’t receive/trust, don’t share — you are not receiving news from your friend (even if friend shares them with you) and your are not sharing your news yourself (even if friend trusts)

Checkboxes that let you specify to receive news from your friends (trust them) and/or share your own news to them

The social relevance calculation for new items, rendered with width of horizontal green bar in News view of Aigents Online Demo, applies to all of your friends listed in Friends view, as long they they are listed as your friends — until you hide them with menu called on right mouse button click if using notebooks or desktops or on tap and hold if using mobile devices.
